Casa Viva

Troncones, Mexico Highlights

Troncones, Mexico is a seaside village with miles of unspoiled, beautiful sandy beaches. Casa Viva is about a 15-minute walk from the village of Troncones and just a 5-minute bike ride. In the morning, the pelicans pass by like pilots on a bombing run, looking for lunch. You know it’s afternoon when you see them flying back in formation.

The neighbor’s son can often been seen surfing in the waves in front of Casa Viva.  For more info on surfing go to www.isamexico.com and ask for Mike or Annie. Other surf options are available. Mike also rents bikes and boards out of Tsunami Surf Shop in “downtown” Troncones.

Unlike Tulum, which is overcrowded with tourists and Sayulita, which is overdeveloped, Troncones, Mexico offers the perfect balance of luxurious privacy and friendly community. With beautiful private residential rentals like Casa Viva, guests enjoy a totally sustainable property consisting of both private and public space. You will have more privacy than any home in Troncones, Mexico with plenty of space between rooms and your neighbors.

Troncones Activities

Horseback riding, fishing, caving, snorkeling, surfing, boogie boarding and bodysurfing are among the most popular activities in Troncones. Ask our staff and they will help arrange the activities; give them notice at least a day in advance.

There is great swimming, not only in the pool, but also in Manzanillo Bay, which is about a 25 minute walk, 10 minute bike ride, or 5 minute car ride. Manzanillo Bay is the place for surfing, boogie boarding and body surfing in the Troncones, Mexico area. There are a few rocks, but the surf is great and the point has a perpetual break. Closer to home, there are plenty of small tide pools along the beach; you don’t have to snorkel to see a vibrant and diverse biosphere of aquatic life.

For excursions around Troncones area we recommend Costa Nativa Ecotours. Alejandro, who runs Costa Nativa, is a super guy and a great guide.
